| Little One Designs was born in May 2005,
a little over a year after I decided to trade in my role as Advertising
Executive in
the city to that of my son’s mommy in the burbs. During many of my
sleepless nights when my son was a newborn, I had lots of time to brainstorm
creative endeavors. The burp cloth idea came pretty easily because my son
found much joy in spitting up all over me, my husband and many of my friends
and family members. I figured that if a burp cloth was going to be a permanent
fixture on my (and all my visitor’s shoulders) for the next nine
months, I better find some cute and stylish ones! Therefore, I started
hand making my personalized burp cloths and also giving them as baby
gifts to my friends. I knew they were a big hit when my friends
came back and placed orders for their friends. And when their friends
came back and placed orders, I decided to start my own company and Little
One Designs was born. Not so coincidently, Little One has been the nickname
my father has called me for all of my life. Now that I have my own “little
one”, I have found out for myself that parenthood is truly special
and an absolute joy…however, I have also found it to be a little
bit messy. I never thought baby spit-up would be this much fun!
